Nothingness

So life slowed down a little bit (but a little bit was all it was) and I attempted to start another sewing project. The embroidery was going along all fine and dandy until I got to the last letter of the block quote that I was embroidering . . . and I ran out of thread. Seriously. I have a whole quote on there and on the last “e” of the last word, I don’t have enough embroidery floss. So, now I have to haul it down to the store and try to match the color because I’m not sure of the exact number of DMC floss I was using. *le sigh*

I was offered another paid sewing job yesterday. She will be dropping off the fabric and notions tonight and I’ll work on it as I have time.

I would go take some pictures to share, but my camera is out-of-commission at the moment, and Bex’s camera is with her and she isn’t here. So, you shall have to just imagine how my embroidery looks without the last letter; and how my needle looks all bent in half (yes, I did it while I was embroidering!); and how amazing our raspberries look (yay!); and the material my Mummy got me for a skirt.

Until next time!

  1. Oh my goodness, don’t you just hate when that happens?? It’s enough to drive one completely crazy. It happened to me – except not the last letter, the last two words. But I’ve no idea what color floss it is. What I ended up getting turned out to be about one shade too dark. Extremely frustrating. :P

I can’t wait to see pictures of things!

  2. Oh. My. Gosh.

What an apt header image! (Especially if one knows exactly what those Gibson Girls were looking at and scientifically poking and prodding!)
