I think I love Autumn more every year.
The crisp air. The leaves turning colors and falling gently. The way the sun hits at a different angle. The desire to buy new pencils. The beauty. Being able to wear sweaters. The freshness. Pumpkin pie. Lack of mosquitoes.
I have a tradition of making a baked apple and a pan of gingerbread on the first day that it feels like fall. This year, I didn’t do that–for lack of time, and for lack of a kitchen. I miss my fall tradition!
Don’t you love New York in the fall? It makes me want to buy school supplies. I would send you a bouquet of newly sharpened pencils if I knew your name and address.
